About the Company

Drummonds began life in 1988 when founder Drummond Shaw, restoring his English country house, began sourcing authentic architectural antiques. What started as a salvage business quickly became the UK’s leading specialist, with a particular passion for restoring traditional bathrooms.

The artisans that expertly restored each antique established the Drummonds foundry, using their in-depth knowledge of period design and manufacture to produce new pieces that stay true to the past while working seamlessly with modern plumbing. Today, the brand is internationally renowned for its cast iron baths, solid brass fittings, and traditional chinaware.

Every element of a Drummonds bathroom is made in-house using methods that reflect 19th-century British craftsmanship. Cast iron baths are finished with dry frit enamel, for a tougher, longer-lasting surface. Brass taps and showers are created using the lost wax casting process, allowing for intricate detail and exceptional durability. Chinaware is hand-poured in traditional English clay, giving each piece a weight and character all its own.

The company’s flagship showrooms in London and New York service clients all over the world with as far afield as Japan, Sri Lanka, Dubai and Australia.

Since the early 2000s, Creative Director James Lentaigne has introduced a series of collaborations with leading interior designers, bringing fresh eyes to the brand’s classic language. Collaborators include Martin Brudnizki, Suzy Hoodless, Steven Gambrel, Nicola Harding, Susie Atkinson and Apple watch designer Marc Newson. Each new collection blends an authoritative sense of heritage with fresh contemporary language.

Drummonds’ appeal lies in its unique ability to combine quality manufacturing with architectural authenticity. Its products are frequently specified for high-end residential and hospitality projects across the UK, US and Europe, where timelessness, durability and design integrity are paramount.

Backed by an expert in-house team, Drummonds offers personal service both in-store and online, guiding customers through finishes, specifications and installations. Whether you’re restoring a country house or designing a modern hotel suite with character, Drummonds is a trusted name in classic British bathrooms.
